Hello
Let me introduce myself - my name is Alissa Mirsky and for most of my life I have been working to manage my anxiety and depression. Sometimes this can come in the form of taking a small, unpleasant thought and spiraling until it consumes me, to feeling like I am a piece of crap, have nothing to show for, and that no-one would notice or care if I wasn’t here.
In my pursuit of happiness (queue Kid Cudi), I have done a lot of reflection to analyze habits and trends that have led to me feeling better. Through this journey I realized the times when I felt the worst is when each day I was going through the motions, not working towards something/felt complacent, and that I didn’t feel in control of how I was spending my time. This expands across multiple areas like having play time, your mental and physical health, the communities and relationships you have, and finding purpose in what you do for work.
I want to expand my passion for helping others feel more in control and satisfied with their lives to my new San Diego community by hosting events that give space to learn more about yourself to assess where you are and what you want to focus on. Let’s create a space to come together, support one another, and grow as individuals and as a collective. Join me in this journey towards a happier, healthier you.
